New CAL Facebook page keeps parents, community updated

An increased social media presence allows community members to look inside CAL's classrooms.
Late last year, the district hired Val Plagge to manage the CAL Community School Facebook Page and promote what the students and staff are up to on a regular basis.
Plagge said she develops three to five Facebook posts a week. Topics include a look at programs and lessons from different classrooms, whole grade sharing updates from administrators, school activity and event promotion and various announcements. Additionally, a "CAL icon" is featured each month.
"The CAL Facebook Page is another way for the school to outreach and deliver information to students, parents, alumni and community members," she said."
