Mid-week storms cause damage in Alexander

Latham Hi-Tech seeds suffers damage 
     A period of stormy conditions blew across Franklin County last week, bringing hail, torrential downpours and straight-line winds of over 75 miles per hour.
     One of these storms, on Tuesday, May 16, hit Latham Hi-tech Seeds, Alexander, tearing down one, 25,000-bushel grain bin, and damaging another, 85,000-bushel grain bin.
     “We were greatly relieved to learn that none of our employees were injured in the storm and have already started the process of rebuilding,” said Vice President Shannon Latham.
