MFL ends West Fork girls’ season

MONONA – West Fork got out of the gates well, but couldn’t sustain it in a 62-35 regional season-ending loss at MFL MarMac on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Three different Warhawks for coach Rodney Huber’s team finished with nine points, including Makenzie Fessler, Emma Martinek and Emily Caspers as they concluded the season at 11-12 overall.

Caspers also led the way with six rebounds and two blocked shots against the fourth-ranked Bulldogs.

Both Fessler and Ellie Weaver swiped three steals and Maddie Hubka and Madisyn Bonner tallied a pair of assists in the loss.

All but one starter – Caspers – returns next year for the Warhawks.
