Meyer claims own meet

HAMPTON – IF-A/AGWSR’s Ellie Meyer impressed with an individual win at her home meet at Maynes Grove on Thursday, Aug. 29.
Meyer, ranked 22nd in Class 3A, bested seventh ranked Bryce Gidel of Humboldt by a comfortable margin of 46 seconds and had more than a 200-yard lead midway through. She completed the race in 19:16.43 as the Cadets finished fourth in the team race with 798 points.
Humboldt won the girls’ team title with 58 points.
