Martinek sticks with decision to sign with Morningside

SHEFFIELD – Zach Martinek already had his mind made up in the summer-time.
The West Fork senior basketball player who earned first team INA all-state in Class 1A after the 2018 season had received a few offers, but on Aug. 24, he announced via social media that Morningside College was his college choice.
He made that official on Thursday, Nov. 1 at the West Fork High School gymnasium, signing his letter of intent with family, friends and his future coaches alongside him.
Martinek could name off several reasons for his choice without stopping to think about it.
“Obviously, their basketball program is really good right now,” Martinek said. “They’ve got high expectations..."
