Making the most of the first time

DES MOINES – There has to be a first time for everything.
Even though both Nadilee Eiklenborg and Patty Teggatz have some state meet experience, the Hampton-Dumont girls’ track and field team members were competing in different events this past week.
Eiklenborg, who was an alternate as a freshman and ran on the shuttle hurdle relay in 2015, experienced her first state long jump on Thursday, May 19.
