HAMPTON – Less than a week after rolling her vehicle on a county road, West Fork head volleyball coach Abbee Dickman directed her team to an eighth straight Franklin County Triangular win.

She has the bumps and bruises to show for the accident, and it was only one example of why the game is only a game on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

“It was just a rollover,” Dickman said. “It’s nothing I haven’t done before. I broke my neck about seven years ago. It was a similar accident, so it was pretty darn crazy. The Lord is with me.

“This was great for the girls, first night out nice to get the wins.”

Lexi Bray recorded eight kills against CAL and Courtney Larson tallied nine against Hampton-Dumont in the sweep.

More on this story will be available in the Sept. 10 online and print editions of the Hampton Chronicle.
