It was Take Your Child To The Library Day this weekend at the Hampton Public Library.
Dozens of parents and grandparents brought their children in to the library on Saturday, Feb. 2 to enjoy a day of reading and activities.
"It's a simple way to encourage parents to bring kids to the library and see what we have to offer," said Children's Librarian Brenda Van Wert.
The library kicked off this program last year with a shorter event but this year they decided to make a day of it, inviting parents to bring their children for the morning or afternoon to participate at their leisure. Throughout the day the library offered activities such as a scavenger hunt and LEGO building time for kids to enjoy. Snacks were also provided and every child that visited received a new book to keep.
