Latimer Council partners with Latimer Development Corporation for town-wide survey

     The Latimer Council agreed to partner with the Latimer Development Corporation to provide access to city addresses and to cover mail expenses for the corporation’s survey of downtown.
     Latimer Development Corporation is a non-profit organization that has operated in Latimer over the last 20 years, according to President Doug Peters. The group is partially funded by the city, with external funding making up the rest of the operation. The corporation’s goal is to attract and maintain businesses in the city’s downtown and industrial park.
     The corporation recently partnered with Iowa State University College of Business’ CyBIZ program, to conduct a town-wide survey on the interest of attracting an independent senior housing facility, in an unoccupied space, downtown.
