Latimer Council discusses lighting and parks

The Latimer City Council held its regular meeting on July 13, here are the highlights:
-  It was decided that the Council will use funds from the Park-Concession savings account to build a new storage shed in East Park to house equipment and supplies for the ball diamond. Funds will also be used to replace the rock under the benches in West Park with concrete.
-  The Council approved a proposal from MidAmerican Energy to replace all 71 street lights with LED bulbs, which will cost $100 per light.
-  A motion was approved to remove the sign in front of the flagpole, as it is out of date and fading.
