At last, outdoor season gets going for area runners

IOWA FALLS – The weather hasn’t cooperated in beginning the 2018 outdoor Spring track & field season, but area runners from CAL and West Fork got a chance to finally show what they could do at the Iowa Falls’ Gerry Lenguadoro Cadet Relays on Tuesday, April 10.
Even though he was exhausted, CAL senior Luke Rapp was also beyond excited that he earned his first medal in this meet, one he has competed in all four years.
He used a good strategy to emerge with a third-place finish in the 3,200-meter run, the highest finish for the Cadets, who placed 11th in the 12-team meet with 10 points, six coming from Rapp’s finish.
“I looked at the times coming in and saw the A-P kid (Mason Tyler, who finished second) and tried to stick with him as long as I could,” Rapp said...
