Two performances brimming with holiday hilarity will greet theater lovers next weekend during the Franklin County Arts Council’s annual winter production.
“A 21st Century Christmas Carol” is a modern day twist on the Charles Dickens classic. Crotchety store manager Eleanor Scrooge learns the true meaning of the season when she’s visited by the three Ghosts of Christmas, who give her a firsthand look at her ornery ways.
Laughter ensues as the 28-member cast tries to coax some Christmas spirit out of the cold-hearted coot throughout the one-act production.
The play is co-directed by Wendy Buseman and Kristin Miller and features a diverse cast of children and adults.
