Lady Bulldogs end regular season

The penultimate regular season outing for the Lady Bulldogs saw Hampton-Dumont-CAL take on quad action at Lake Mills before coming back home to finish for the regular season with senior night and a hosting of Clear Lake.

For the week’s opener, Hampton-Dumon-CAL went 0-3 for the day with opponents varying from Lake Mills to Nashua-Plainfield to North Butler.

Thursday brought an end to the regular season for the Lady Bulldogs.

With the first set, H-D-Cal came close as Clear Lake won 25-20, but as the night wore on, the Lady Bulldogs fell further behind, 25-11 and 15-15.

The Lady Lions advanced to 9-5 in historic match ups against H-D-CAL as Clear Lake went 3-0 for the night.

Clear Lake is 9-18 for the season while the Lady Bulldogs are 3-24 going into regional play.

H-D-Cal was scheduled to head over to Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Monday for the first round of regional play as the Lady Bulldogs take on the 17-14 Cowgirls.

C-G-D is the clear winner historically with a record of 13-2 against H-D-CAL, making for what could be a tough battle for the Lady Bulldogs.
