Rain didn’t stop La Luz Hispana from celebrating its fourth annual Gran Festival at Band Shell Park on Saturday, June 9.
The celebration featured musical acts, dance performances, games, a raffle with 35 prizes, food and more. Fifty volunteers pitched in to make sure the day ran as smoothly as possible.
Rain fell in the early evening, but La Luz Associate Director Aimee Hanson said fun was had by all despite the precipitation.
“It didn’t stop us from having fun,” she said. “We’d like to give a huge thanks to the volunteers. It’s another reminder of how people are supportive of the Latino community and how many people want this festival to happen and succeed.”
