SHEFFIELD – A blocked kick and stops made by West Fork against Belmond-Klemme on fourth down helped the Warhawk football team to hang on against the Broncos, 20-19, on Friday, Sept. 5.

Under first-year coach Eric Gabe, who has the Warhawks believing in themselves, West Fork is 2-0 for the first time since 2011.

In on the fourth down stops was sophomore Clay Emhoff on a night when the seniors were honored.

“Shooting gaps, doing my little jobs setting an edge,” Emhoff said of what he saw on the fourth down plays. “What coach says every day: do your little job, as a team it will come together as one.

“I tried to keep my composure, not do anything stupid.”
