After a four-day-long jury trial, Charles Albright, 42, of Meservey, was found guilty of Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury and First-Degree Kidnapping in Franklin County District Court on July 14.
Starting on July 11, the trial to review a case of abuse between Albright, and his former live-in girlfriend, Kim Hartman, 36, of Meservey, began. Albright was charged with one count of Willful Injury Causing Bodily Harm and one count of First-Degree Kidnapping, both of which he pled not guilty to.
Albright was accused of beating and torturing Hartman last October 7 in their shared Meservey home, and also of beating her in his vehicle while driving to Sheffield the same day. Hartman later fled to Dollar General in Sheffield, and hid in a bathroom, until law enforcement arrived on the scene.
