Joyce Heitland, 83, of Hampton, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at her home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.

Joyce Eleanore Heitland was born on September 19, 1939 in Hampton, Iowa to Lee and Gladys (Cessford) Lemke. She graduated from Hampton Community High School and then from Ellsworth Community College.

Joyce is survived by her children Robin L. (Vick) Woltjer of Hampton, Iowa, Kim D. (Bob) Smith of Hampton, Iowa, David A. Simpson of Hampton and Jeffrey G. (Michele) Simpson of Hampton, sisters Fran (Dick) Mechem of Colorado and Gloria Ream of West Des Moines, Iowa, 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Glen “Pug” Simpson and George Heitland and brother Lee Lemke Jr.
