Jeffery Johnson, 61
Jeffrey Alan Johnson departed from this earth on September 5th, 2021, at the age of 61 while surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on November 23rd, 1959, in Iowa City, Iowa and was later adopted to Dale and Marion Johnson. He enlisted into the military after graduating from Hampton Community High School in 1978.
When he enlisted into the military in 1978, he was part of the Company C, 133rd Infantry, Iowa National Guard and was assigned to the weapons platoon in Hampton. He had a passion for football, as his favorite team was the Denver Broncos. He also had an undying love for cars. He loved Nascar and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Jeffrey was survived by his mother Marian Johnson of Hampton, Iowa, his brother Alan (Sherry) Johnson of Jefferson, Georgia, his niece Tiffany (Al) Lemus of Georgia, nephew Tyler (Sarah) Johnson of Georgia, his five children, Brandon (Emily) Pratt of Miles City, Montana, Misty Johnson of Watertown, South Dakota, Micheal Johnson, Meranda Johnson, and Kc Johnson of Huron, South Dakota, his four grandchildren, Natalie Cardona of Huron, South Dakota, Jordan Fewins of Nebraska, Tyler and Kyra Pratt of Miles City, Montana. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Johnson.
There will be a memorial service on September 6th, 2022, at the South Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery at 1pm in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with a reception to follow at Falls Park.
