Jean Marie Crawford, 87

Jean Marie Crawford, 87, of Hampton, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton.  She was born October 7, 1933, to Harry and Ethel Marie (Fernau) Crabb.

Jean graduated from Chapin High School where she played on the basketball team.  She was united in marriage to Richard Eugene Crawford on April 4, 1954, in Chapin.  Jean worked at a shoe store until she retired, along with being a wife and mother.  She was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church. Jean enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, playing cards with friends, and winning big on the penny slot machines. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren attending their school and sports activities.

Jean is survived by her only daughter Linda (Darrell) Weeter of Brecksville, Ohio; grandchildren Brian (Shannon) Muth of Decorah, Sheri (Dallas) Nelson of Ames, Matthew (Jennifer) Muth of Austin, Texas, and Brett (fiancé Jenn) Weeter of Medina, Ohio; great grandchildren Khloe Muth, Brooklynn Nelson, Austin Nelson and Dalton Nelson; sister Ruth Skillen of Clear Lake; along with many extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Crawford, brothers Dell, Bill and Chuck Crabb, sister Pearl Velthoff and sister-in-law Joyce Crabb.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 5, 2021, at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton.  Burial will take place in the Hampton Cemetery.
