Iowa Select Farms to give away pork loins in Hampton

A statewide tour to bring a little Christmas to those in need is scheduled to stop in Hampton next week.
Iowa Select Farms’ Operation Christmas Meal On-The-Go is a four-day, 12 town effort to give away 12,000 free pork loins. Allyson Ladd, Communications Manager with Iowa Select Farms, said the event will offer the chance at a special Christmas dinner to those in need that may otherwise not have had that option.
“Operation Christmas Meal On-The-Go is around the holidays when funds are especially tight and families may be struggling to make ends meet,” she said, “so we want to make sure no one goes without a holiday meal.”
Operation Christmas Meal On-The-Go will stop in Hampton on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at the Franklin County Convention Center. Pork loins will be available from 7 to 9 a.m.
