The Latimer Council heard a proposition from the Latimer Park Society and
Day Care President Cathy Carlson regarding the erection of a “Splash Pad” in Latimer.
Carlson explained that the day care had been wondering how to contribute to the community in a kid-oriented way by putting a splash park in West Park.
A splash pad, also known as a spray pool, is an outdoor recreation area for water play with little-to-no standing water. Water is sprayed through various equipment, on patrons. Carlson said that she is aware that Bristow has a 40x50 feet splash pad, with 12 features that cost approximately $105,000.
