HAMPTON – A solid passing game did Hampton-Dumont in, seemingly for the second week in a row.
Humboldt’s Joey Busse completed 17-of-30 passes for 305 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions as the Wildcats kept the Bulldogs out of the win column with a 34-20 final.
“I think we made adjustments in the second half,” H-D coach Dan Aalbers said, “but they still got their yards there, but it wasn’t the touchdown play. We can’t give up touchdown passes, two-three-four a game. I thought our run-defense played well tonight. But we played the run really well.”
