Howe named regional news editor

Savannah Howe has been named the regional news editor for the Sheffield Press, Pioneer Enterprise and Hampton Chronicle.
Howe, a St. Ansgar native and 2015 St. Ansgar High graduate, graduated from North Iowa Community College in the spring of 2017 with a degree in journalism. She said she is excited to begin her career as a journalist and get to know the communities in her coverage area.
“I’m looking forward to learning about the area and how the people stay informed about the changes in their community,” she said.
As a small-town Iowa native, she said her coverage communities present a “close to home” feeling.
“Everything feels close to home and a lot of times, you are personally connected to the place or person in some kind of way,” she said. “It feels like a more intimate feeling.”
