The Hampton City Council discussed solutions to Homecoming vandalism with H-D Superintendent Todd Lettow during its meeting Monday night.

The meeting was moved up from the regular Thursday session due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Lettow gave a brief update on recent happenings within the school district before discussing the vandalism, which caused problems this fall.

Local students blocked traffic downtown, damaged vehicles and also spray painted signs and roads throughout Hampton during Homecoming week. The vandalism went above and beyond the typical toiletpapering of trees and bushes, and ultimately led to discussion about how to curb it.
