Harold G. Nelson, 91
Harold G. Nelson, 91 of Eau Claire, WI passed away on August 16, 2023. He was the son of Gust and Blanche Roemer Nelson. Gus was a 1951 graduate of Hampton High School . His career was in construction. He had lived and worked in Ankeny, Iowa, and later in Connecticut.
In his spare time Gus was an accomplished wood carver and story writer.
Gus was wed to Janis Parsons in Fort Dodge on March 21, 1954. She preceded him in death, as did his daughter, Wendy Maupin.
He is survived by his sisters Mary Lois Nelson, of Ames, and Sylvia Borcherding of Sheffield, and by Daughter Laurie Schlachtenhaufen and Son Thomas Nelson, and their children and grandchildren.
