HANSELL – The North Hansell shooting complex started work on Thursday, Sept. 11 to stretch the rifle range to 400 and 500 yards.

It was a spur of the moment action on talks that began to have the land belonging to Franklin County since this Spring.

“What we’ve done today is we improved our 100-, 200- and 300-yard target lines, built the berms to 60 feet high, much taller than what they were before,” said Logan Van Dyke, Franklin County Resource Manager. “We’re also adding a 400- and 500-yard target line.”
