LATIMER – As the 2018 season begins in earnest this week for the CAL/H-D/B-K girls’ and boys’ soccer teams, those wondering what the future holds for the soccer programs need not wonder any longer.
Hampton-Dumont activities director Will Azinger said last week that the school’s plan was to continue with soccer even though CAL, which has hosted the teams since its inception in 2014, will join with H-D next year.
“We would then take it over,” Azinger said when asked about the two teams’ future. “We are planning on using the CAL (Latimer) facility to host games at this time.”
