Hampton Shopko to close: Clarion store not on list of closures

The Hampton Shopko will be one of 38 stores closed under the company’s newly announced restructuring plan.
The Shopko company on Wednesday announced that it has filed petitions for court supervised financial restructuring under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.
Under the plan, the company will close 38 stores, relocate 20 optical centers to freestanding locations and conduct auctions for its pharmacy business. The Hampton location is among the 38 closing. Shopko late last year announced the Eldora and Webster City stores will close as well. Throughout the process, Shopko optical centers and pharmacies will remain open.
All other Shopko locations, including the Clarion store, will remain open as well.
