Hampton pool rates to see minor increase

The price of all-season family pool passes and adult day passes at the Hampton Aquatic Center will see a slight jump this summer, but all other rates will remain the same as 2013.

     The Hampton City Council voted to raise family pool passes from $125 to $135 and adult day passes from $3 to $4 at their meeting last Thursday. The decision came after extensive discussion on raising other rates, but the council ultimately decided all other increases were unnecessary.

     “We can try it and see what the numbers are,” said Council Member Steve Harms. “We can always make changes to it next year.”
