Hampton library included on Top Ten list

Programs and improvements at the Hampton Public Library have made impressions on visitors not only from the area, but from throughout the state.
The library was recently named to Best Things Iowa’s Top 10 Libraries list. The entry for the Hampton Public Library cites its architecture, classic interior and the offerings that extend beyond books, such as the children’s programs, computers, WiFi and genealogy information.
“All these services and more make the Hampton Public Library an important cultural asset in this Iowa town,” the entry says. Kim Manning, Hampton Public Library Director, said the designation was a total surprise. In fact, she said, it left her speechless.
