Hampton-Dumont wins sixth straight; ends 10-game onslaught by Warhawks

HAMPTON – Both West Fork and Hampton-Dumont girls basketball teams were riding big win streaks heading into the Saturday, Jan. 21 Coaches vs. Cancer game.
Granted, the Warhawks 10-game streak was a touch more impressive, including a revenge victory against a ranked Rockford team, but the Bulldogs had five straight after the break and a revenge win of their own at Iowa Falls the night before.
But a determined defensive effort by coach Miranda Valley’s squad secured H-D’s sixth win in a row with a 49-43 triumph against West Fork (10-3).
“That’s what we talked about: this team hasn’t lost...and they know how to win games,” H-D coach Miranda Valley said...
