CLARION – Undoubtedly, Logan Chipp had something to show his former schoolmates.
The Hampton-Dumont senior defensive end had one of two Bulldog defensive sacks, a number of tackles, blocked a punt and played inspired against Clarion-Goldfield/Dows/CAL as they defeated the Class 2A District 2 foe 44-14 on Friday, Oct. 9.
“There’s some CAL kids I know on the other team, I just wanted to play hard and beat them,” Chipp admitted, who originally went to school at CAL. “Me and Derek (Juhl) and my little brother open-enrolled to Hampton.”
His was one of just a few inspired performances for the Bulldogs against the Cowboys as coach Jerry Shafrath’s team improved to 5-2 overall, 3-1 in district play.
