Hampton couple builds model train set in front yard

Engines from the Union Pacific Railroad aren’t the only trains making noise on the western edge of Franklin County.
     Gene and Jane Elphic have spent the past four years working on an elaborate model train set in their front yard. The display features two tracks, a water fall, bridges, a tunnel and multiple miniature structures like a farm and town.
     “Nobody would believe me if I told them what I got in it, but I wouldn’t say I’d never do it again,” Gene said.
