The Hampton Branch of Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. will cease production operations as of March 24, according to Plant Manager Andy Richardson. The plant will continue to operate until inventory is depleted.
“It was a surprise to hear this and to have this confirmed,” Executive Director of the Franklin County Development Association Karen Mitchell said.  “Of course it’s disappointing because ADS
is an outstanding company and we have been proud to have them in Franklin County.”
ADS has been in Franklin County for approximately five years, Mitchell said. ADS, Inc. has been an international producer of corrugated pipe for drainage throughout rural America as of 1966. The company is the largest producer of polyethylene pipes, making old, clay drain tile obsolete.
