H-D students buy parking spots for student council fundraiser

Some Hampton-Dumont High School students no longer have to worry about getting to school early enough to find a good parking spot.
The H-D Student Council earlier this year received permission to “sell” parking spaces in the main parking lot to upperclassmen. Those spots would be reserved for students from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on school days.
Spaces closest to the doors were leased for $50 a piece and spaces at the front of the parking lot but not as close to the doors were $25. A reserved space anywhere else in the lot, excluding those reserved for staff, were $10. Spots were first offered to seniors, then juniors and sophomores.
