The Hampton-Dumont Community School Board approved plans for an in-town bus route on Monday, January 16 during their regular board meeting.
Starting at Sherwood Apartments on 12th Ave at roughly 7:15 a.m., the route will make eight stops throughout the city before dropping students off at the district's four buildings. The district has received permission from the city to make the stops and has planned the route to last approximately 40 minutes, depending on traffic.
"I'm hoping this will cut down on congestion at the school," said Superintendent Todd Lettow. "Hopefully this will be good all the way around."
