H-D hires interim principal for elementary job

Former North Butler administrator Ann Chinander was hired by Hampton-Dumont last week to serve as interim elementary principal for the 2014-15 school year.

     Chinander succeeds former H-D Elementary Principal Jerry Buseman, who resigned from his position July 3 after 23 years with the district. She has four decades of experience in education and just recently retired from North Butler last year.

     Chinander served as elementary principal at North Butler from 1998 to 2013, and she has additional experience as a teacher and curriculum director.

     “I hate to use the term ‘been around the block,’ but Ann’s dealt with a lot of things and knows how to handle many situations in a calm manner,” said H-D Superintendent Todd Lettow.
