DES MOINES -- Hampton-Dumont junior guard Jessica Speake was voted to the Iowa Newspaper Association Class 3A all-state second team as a utility player announced Tuesday, March 10.
Speake, a 5-foot-7 three-year starter for coach Chad Johnson’s Bulldogs, helped lead H-D to a 20-3 overall record and a top-10 team ranking all season long.
She averaged 13.3 points per game, averaged nearly five assists a game (114) and came up with 86 steals for the Bulldogs.

“She was named first team All-Conference, IGCA All-District and IBCA All-Region,” Johnson said of Speake. “I think that her overall game has gotten better each year as she continues to improve herself and our team.”
