MASON CITY – Officially racing for only five years, and in only his second year of professional racing, 2004 Hampton-Dumont graduate Ryan Winchester recently claimed his first Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car Championship.

Living in Mason City, Winchester started racing in 2008 in a Ford Mustang GT.

“Prior to that I had driven for a couple years on a track in a street car,” Winchester said, “but didn’t make the transition to racing until the 2008 season.”

With his connections in racing, Winchester became part of the Compass 360 Racing team, based in Toronto in 2012.
