Hampton-Dumont veteran educator Abby Meyer has a new but exciting challenge as this school year begins.
Meyer, who has been with H-D for the last 10 years and currently serves as an instructional coach with the district, will also hold the title of elementary principal at CAL.
Meyer said she will conduct 1/3 of her day at CAL and 2/3 of her day at her current position at H-D.
As principal, Meyer said she will help facilitate professional development sessions and assist in curriculum and instruction aspects. She will also conduct teacher evaluations, develop schedules and help implement new programs such as PBIS and an updated writing curriculum to the school.
Meyer said her roles with H-D have helped her develop a skill set that will prove to be an asset for CAL.
