HAMPTON – With 24 Hampton-Dumont youth wrestlers wrestling on the other mat, the Bulldogs took on newly third-ranked Webster City on Thursday, Jan. 4.

Five of the 14 Lynx wrestlers on their roster are ranked individually, two of them are top-two in their weight class.

It leaves something for the young H-D team to aspire to in the 59-24 loss to the visitors.

“They’re really good,” junior 195-pounder Dalton Chipp said. “They’ve just got a lot of good kids, you know. Hopefully, we get there someday.”
