Tuesday on the Town returned to Band Shell Park last week with a large crowd of hungry concertgoers, a temperate evening and high-quality musicians.
Spensha Baker, a country artist who finished fourth on “The Voice” last year, kicked off the weekly June concert series in energetic fashion. Playing a mix of covers and original songs, she presented a variety of music that appealed to audience members of all ages.
The Hampton Municipal Band closed out the night with a set list composed of marches, patriotic tunes and other concert classics.
Prior to the music, the audience was treated to a meal served by the senior center, which served nearly 250 guests.
Newton Grotzinger said he was impressed by Baker’s performance and the crowd seemed to be enthused and entertained by her music.
“The crowd was good and they seemed to enjoy it,” he said.
