First team INA all-state honors go to Knipfel

DES MOINES – Four years of hard work on the line for Hampton-Dumont's football team paid off for senior Josh Knipfel.
The 6-foot-6, 315-pound defensive lineman was rewarded with a Class 2A first team all-state nod by the Iowa Newspaper Association (INA) Wednesday morning.
"I think (he is) very deserving of first team, a dominant player on both the offensive and defensive line," H-D head coach Jerry Shafrath said. "He's made a tremendous impact over the last four years. When you have a lineman as dominant as he has been for four years it has been phenomenal. With his mobility, he has been a handful to deal with for most teams...."
