Fiber internet installed at Hampton Industrial Park

The installation of high-speed fiber-optic internet at the Hampton Industrial Park is now complete.
Karen Mitchell, Franklin County Development Association Director, said the fiber-optic service is now available to the companies at the Industrial Park that wish to use it. She said currently, six of the eight industries are utilizing it. Rockwell Cooperative Telephone Association provided the internet.
Mitchell said the service is a huge asset and said Rockwell’s service will fit perfectly with the needs of the Industrial Park.
“They gave us a really good feeling about the kind of company they are to work with, plus they were willing and able to execute a project right away,” she said.
The push for fiber-optic internet stemmed from frustration with slow and inadequate internet expressed by businesses in the park.
