To the editor:

Letter to the Editor: I am writing in regards to Brian Miller’s letter to the editor – he is so on track and knows what he is talking about. It is not right that we would have to let a strange company come into our house and do this.
Why are you at the assessor’s office even thinking of doing this? Is it to get you off the hook if questions come up later, so you can say we didn’t do the assessment, Vanguard appraisals did it. I am not letting a stranger come into my house and look around. This is just not right. Another thing, who is paying for this company to do the assessment? Is it taxpayer dollars? I have lived in Hampton for 26 years, so why this now?
I am truly very concerned about our country and how our rights are being taken away more and more every day. What is happening in Hampton right now is just a tip of the iceberg. What next? Assessors reconsider your decision.
By the way, if you can tell me you are going to get a search warrant, feel free to do so, but make sure it is of probable cause.
