Early attack: Bulldogs score four first inning runs to top A-P

HAMPTON – Although playing on its home field in its Class 2A District 4 first-round game, the Hampton-Dumont baseball team was the visitor on the scoreboard, so getting out to an early lead was imperative.
The Bulldogs, coached by Matt Lokenvitz, did just that: jumping on Aplington-Parkersburg starter Nick Waller for four runs on three hits and two walks in the opening inning in an eventual 5-1 win over the Falcons.
