Barks and meows have replaced roses and carnations at a Hampton building typically occupied by flower shops.
The Dog House, formerly located on Second Avenue NW, has moved to the old Sandee’s Flower House and Flowers on Fourth building at 707 Fourth St. NE.
Owners Shannon Bochmann and Tabitha Brass began operation at the new location in the beginning of October. They said the new facility, a backyard area and its proximity to the Rolling Prairie Trail provides a larger area to continue its grooming services and also expand to boarding. They now have additional room to keep pets overnight and the trail allows for exceptional recreational opportunities for dogs, as boarded animals receive three walks a day, weather permitting.
Bochmann added that the new location also comes with its own parking lot and is handicap accessible.
