Cowboys comeback falls short, lose 46-30 to E-LC Midgets

CLARION – A 20-6 halftime deficit proved to be the difference on Friday, Sept. 11 in Clarion as the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows/CAL football team traded punches with visiting Estherville-Lincoln Central throughout the final two quarters, emerging with a 46-30 loss.
The Midgets scored first on a three-yard run, with the conversion pass for two making it 8-0.
The Cowboys drove right back on the next series, culminating in a pretty 77-yard touchdown pass from Kainan Braun to Israel Rivera with 4 minutes, 43 seconds on the clock. The try for two, however, was unsuccessful.
