Coulter residents will hit the streets and pack city park next Saturday during the community’s annual Firemen Fun Day celebration.
Multiple events like a parade, childrens’ games and car show are planned for the all-day festival. Firemen Fun Day is geared towards families and children, and organizers are encouraging area residents to check it out and join the party.
“We try to make everything pretty much free so everybody can enjoy it,” said Cathy Carlson, one of the event’s many planners. “It’s amazing what a little town can do. There’s a lot of people who wear a lot of hats.”
New to this year’s event is the LEGO Bike Ride. Participants will hit the Rolling Prairie Trail on their bicycles for a family-oriented trip around the Coulter area and collect various sacks of LEGOs along the 3.5-mile route. Riders will eventually return to the park and build unique creations with the plastic bricks.
