Cougars hit foul shots, stave off Bulldogs in season opener

ACKLEY – AGWSR’s boys’ basketball team had a comfortable enough lead at the half that it was able to overcome 5-of-22 shooting from the field in the second half to take the 51-39 non-conference victory over Hampton-Dumont on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
The Cougars also made up for the second-half field percentage with their free throw shooting, going 10-of-13 from the charity stripe to start the season 1-0.
